The Confession
“Okay, I’ll admit it. I’m the reason we’re always late to family dinners. My husband thinks it’s his fault because he’s deep into his game of Elden Ring, but the truth is, I’ve been sneaking in a few hours of The Sims before we leave. You know, just making sure my virtual family doesn’t burn down the house while I’m away. It’s not like he’ll notice, right? Wrong.
One time, I was so engrossed in building a new expansion to my dream house that I completely lost track of time. When my husband came into the room and asked if I was ready to go, I pretended I had just finished getting dressed. The reality? I was still in my pajamas, clutching the controller like my life depended on it.
I’ve also convinced him to let me ‘help’ with his RPGs, but secretly, I’m just scouting for potential loot to steal.
