Hey sweeties!

How was your week? Did you play lots of Pokeomon Go? I would have, but I live in Canada and I’m being a good girl and waiting for the official release.

And waiting.

And waiting.

And waiting…

This weekend I’ll be going to a Pixelles Game Design Mentorship panel and hopefully actually take a minute for myself since this week has been CA-RA-ZEE! What’s your favourite way to relax on the weekend?

Thank you so much for linking to my post!

I definitely am in love with Pokemon GO and I love the adventures it brings with it. I love seeing things that I would have never known about. I go on a walk every day on my lunch (even before Pokemon GO) and there’s apparently a gym there. It’s a statue of a little sleeping deer. It’s so amazing!

I can’t believe I’m being such a nerd and waiting patiently for the Canadian release, especially since EVERYONE around me is already playing on US iTunes accounts. I guess I’m just THAT nerdy.

I’m pretty sure Australia was one of the first regions to get Pokemon Go, so I think you’ve had to deal with the madness a little bit longer. It’s been really fun walking around town and spotting people who are CLEARLY playing Pokemon. I just like that it seems to be drawing people out into their environments and facilitating real-life encounters, something people usually attack video games for not doing.

Ha! I’m sitting at my desk, at work, with Pokemon Go pulled up on my phone in case any wild Pokemon come by my desk. Lol

I hope the Canadian release is soon for you!! And good on you for waiting…I’m sure so many people cheat and use other accounts, and all that does is further add to server disasters. D: Do they have a Canadian release date yet?

It dropped on Sunday. Rick’s given up already due to the bugginess, but I’m willing to be a bit more patient. I already have a Zubat and a Charmander!

YAY!!!! And yeah, the bugginess is incredibly annoying, but I can only imagine the server overwhelm that happens. As someone who doesn’t game too obsessively, I’m not overly bothered by the server issues, but I can imagine how people could give it some rage quit. I’ve had a few moments myself with it bugging out at the most inconvenient times.

Yeah, I’m generally pretty good at not getting too worked up over games being buggy, but Rick has 0% patience for it, which makes playing together a little frustrating sometimes.

I love that Evee pile picture! And I did start playing Pokemon Go and Yangkyu totally rubbed it in my face by having Pikachuu appear and catching him as his first pokemon. Boo. 🙂 But when we went away on a road trip and were at Solomons Island for ice cream, EVERYONE was playing. It was my first time seeing so many people gathered in one place with phones up to catch pokemon!

Yeah, it’s pretty crazy to see so many people playing a phone game at the same time. Our neighbourhood is full of people taking evening walks right now, trying to catch Pokemon and lots of the local shops have caught on and put down lures on the busiest nights. I wonder what will happen when winter comes, though.
