Indie Game Date: Moon Hunters

Indie Game Date Moon Hunters | Gamerwife.com Rickโ€™s been playing games since before he could walk. I went from an NES to a PS3 with nothing in between. We love to game together, but finding games we can both enjoy can be tough. Indie Game Date is our quest to find great indie games that both of us will love. This month Rick and I decided to sit down with Moon Hunters, the newest game from Montreal’s own Kitfox games. It’s a beautiful pixel style co-op RPG style myth building game with heavy roguelike elements that supports up to 4 players for online or couch co-op. Since co-op is kind of our thing, we’ve been itching to play Moon Hunters since it was announced nearly two years ago.

It took us around an hour to complete our first playthough, but I’m eager to get back to it to unlock more content and environments. It’s so beautiful and the soundtrack really is perfect. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

It’s available now on Steam, but will be released on PS4 and PS Vita later this year.

It’s beyond beautiful. I can’t wait to unlock more locations to see more of the pixel art.

Thanks! We were feeling pretty low energy when we recorded it so I wasn’t sure how it would turn out, but Rick really went over the top with the voices!
