Hello sweeties!

How was your week? I’m still having trouble getting back on track after our trip to Vancouver, but I’m optimistic that next week will be the fresh start that I need.

In exciting news this week, my former employers, Cardboard Utopia have launched a Steam Greenlight campaign in advance of their Kickstarter campaign for their first game, now called Children of Zodiarcs. Check it out if you interested in JRPGs, tactical games and/or digital card and dice games.

Also, the participants in this year’s Pixelles’ incubator have been announced! There’s still time to sign up for the follow-along program, which is open to everyone of every sex, no matter where you are. I joined this year to help me with my resolution to make a game this year. Don’t expect anything spectacular, I’ll just be happy with creating something that runs.

This weekend will involve time with friends and hopefully a trip to MAC to see the Patrick Bernatchez exhibit before it closes on Sunday. What are you up to?

Link time!

Can the way you play a game be a sign of depression? It is for one man.

Hardly any YouTube video game commentators are women. This is a problem.

Items from other fictions that can brilliantly break your D&D game.

Hello, my name is Mariko and I am addicted to mugs.

I signed up for the Pixelle’s Incubator Follow-Along. I always try to learn something new and creative every year so I figured why not! Thanks for sharing it.

Thanks, Kayly. If I do manage to make anything it won’t be that exciting. Probably more like an interactive novel than anything, but we’ll see what happens.

The lack of cats in Star Wars is unforgivable.

I’m addicted to mugs too. My boss won’t allow me to have more than 3 in the break room. It was getting pretty ridiculous. 🙂

-yay for new graphic novels to read!
