Everyday cosplay posts are popular all over the blogosphere, but they tend to be focused on looks for women, since I guess that’s who’s creating them. The poor guys always get left out. So, when menswear site Paul Fredrick contacted me about putting together some everyday cosplay looks in anticipation of NYCC, I jumped at the chance.
I opted to focus on video game inspired looks, using this Esquire article as a guide.

Booker Dewitt – Bioshock Infinite
The tortured ex-Pinkerton and protagonist of Bioshock Infinite is easy to emulate with the right pieces. To go from casual to full cosplay, just add leather shoulder holsters and/or a Skyhook.
Agent 47 – Hitman
Everyone knows Agent 47 is the best dressed assassin, video game or otherwise. All you need is an extra close shave and a barcode to go from casual to full cosplay.
Phoenix Wright – Ace Attorney
No one could ever object to the Ace Attorney’s unparalleled fashion sense. Not a lot of men could pull off a bright blue suit, but Phoenix Wright makes it look good. Some inventive hairstyling is all that’s needed to pull this look from casual into full cosplay territory.
