Epic Mercenary Kings Giveaway! {CLOSED}

Mercenary Kings Logo Remember way back last fall when I recorded voices for a little indie game being made by my friends, Tribute Games, called Mercenary Kings? Rick and I even played the pre-release version for an Indie Game Date. Ringing any bells yet? What about my Halloween costume from last year?

Kidding aside, it is with a chest bursting with pride that I announce the official release of the game on PS4 next Tuesday! Don’t have a next gen console yet? Not to fear! Mercenary Kings also released on Steam for PC & Mac on Tuesday! And to celebrate, Tribute Games have generously given me not one, not two, but 5 copies to giveaway to lucky Gamerwife readers.

About the game:

Mercenary Kings is a side-scrolling action game similar to Metal Slug, only with a deep crafting system. There are more than 300 gun parts and more than 100 knifes, which you can use to craft different weapons. You’ll choose between two characters, Empress and King, and play with up to four player either locally or online.

Created by the team behind Wizorb and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game, Mercenary Kings was successfully funded on Kickstarter in September 2012, with over $116,000 from 3,880 backers. It’s been available through Steam Early Access since last year with over 60 missions, whereas the complete game will have more than a 100.

To enter, just leave a comment on the blog telling me who you would like to play Mercenary Kings with if you won. You can also follow Tribute Games on Twitter or tweet about the giveaway for even more entries. Contest closes midnight April 3, winners to be announced on April 4th.

    I’ve been waiting for Mercenary Kings for (what feels like) such a long time. I can’t wait!

    I’d play with the guys from work, and hopefully I can get my friend Jen to pick up a copy too. We haven’t played together since the old WoW days.

    I do not actually play games myself, but I do enjoy sitting with my guy when he plays, so I can offer helpful input such as “Wow, you just got killed a lot.” 🙂

    I am really excited for this game. Love the art style of Paul Robertson. Wizorb was a mighty fine game from Tribute. Can’t wait to play this on my Mac.
