Alright. Last week’s proclamation was obviously premature. I’d managed to be on a decent schedule for a lot of January, but Feb and now March are kind of a mess. My sleep schedule is all over the place and I feel scattered and unfocused, but with a billion things to do. My business future is uncertain, but far from failing. My blog discipline wavering, but far from absent. My home is full of clutter, but what I need is still within reach.
I guess with my “first real work project” not ending the way I would have liked, my future has felt a lot more uncertain and I’ve let myself drift because fighting the current felt too much like drowning. But, after making a few critic decisions about the future, I seem to be settling down. My attendance at this year’s PAX East is about 80% confirmed. Rick and I opted to stay another year in our current apartment, so I feel like I can start reorganization/improvement projects like my desk area and the bedroom. My work space hasn’t felt “right” in a while and its definitely made focusing more difficult.
This weekend will be spent searching Rick’s parents’ place for his old Master System console for a super secret project I’m hoping to debut next month, putting the finishing touches on my revamped desk area, and attending a screening of The Room. What are you kids going get up to?
