I was hoping to have another Indie Game Date post for you guys today, but sadly Rick’s been a little social butterfly and I’ve been chained to my desk working on getting the biz up and running, which means time for gaming, let alone time for gaming together, has been pretty non-existent.
On biz front I am absolutely giddy with joy at how the Kickstarter for Cashtronauts is shaping up. We just got word today that the pitch has been approved by Kickstarter, which means the campaign will go live as scheduled next Tuesday (January 28th). Rick and I also have some practice time scheduled on Sunday so that we’ll look like we know what we’re doing playing the game on stage at the big IGDA Montreal Demo Night, which incidentally is the same night as the Kickstarter launch. Eek.
I’m also pleased as punch with how our backer rewards are shaping up, including the papercraft ship models PropPrintables is making for us:
I can’t wait to see them all done and in colour.
And finally, a little blog minding announcement. You may have noticed that the Indie Biz section has been removed from the menu bar. Although there were only ever two articles in that section, the idea that the Indie Biz section spawned ended up growing into this new consulting business I am trying to launch, so all future Indie Biz type posts will now appear on my consulting business website… which will also be launching on January 28th.
I’ll be reblogging the posts Crowdfunding & Community and 5 Things Every Indie Game Website Needs on my business blog in the weeks to come, but you’ll still be able to find them here by sifting through the archives.
That’s all for now!
