Sorry for the lack of posting this week. Sick kitty and Rick out of town put a bit of a dent into my available blogging time, but now that he’s back and Gatsby is on the mend I’ll be able to get things back into high gear!

As usually we’ll start off this week with a quick Take My Money Tuesdays update. In happy news, Magnetic by Nature and A.N.N.E. both funded successfully, with A.N.N.E. managing to raise over $100,000!! Amazing! Also, check out the super-sweet thank you video that Mo made for his supporters. I’m tearing up again!

And while we’re on the subject of A.N.N.E., be sure to check out the winners of the arts & crafts contest gamesbymo ran in conjunction with the Kickstarter campaign. Awesome stuff.

In less happy news, recent Gamerwife pick The Realm did not reach their funding goals, which totally puzzles me because the game looks stunning. But, it seems no US payment options and a lack of in-game footage may have hurt them. Creators Atomhawk Design and Lantern Interactive have vowed to resurrect the campaign at another time with better resources, and Gamerwife will be there to promote that campaign when it gets off the ground.

Looking for simple, but super-fun browser game to waste time with? Check out Alpaca Run, a surprisingly addictive little endless-runner.

In non-video game related links, xojane ran a great article recently about how to not be a dick to someone with depression. Although I’ve been hesitant to open up about my own struggles with depression, there are some very good insights here for those of you unfamiliar with the disorder.

Is it bad that I kinda like this Tomahawk hoodie better than the official Ubisoft AC hoodies?

And finally, this Penny Arcade Report on the creation of the dubstep gun in Saints Row IV is actually a fascinating look into the inner workings of AAA game making.
