This Week’s Menu

I’ve been a bad, bad blogger. Balancing full time work, home life & a blog is tough enough, but the full-timeness of my job started a little more suddenly than I expected, meaning I didn’t have much time to prepare, not to mention being sick with a cold for the first two weeks of said job. Add in a small website project for a friend and it’s clear that I needed some serious time to re-prioritize and get back on track.

But, enough excuses. I’ve taken my time and I’m looking forward to where we’re going to go in the future. Dames Who Make Games will return, as will $1 Dates and all your other favourite features. And let me know if you have ideas for new features in the future. I can’t do this without you all.

You might have noticed that I’ve started including a “Take-Out Night” in the middle of the week. Back when I was working from home, it wasn’t that big a deal to have wholesome meals made from scratch every night of the week. But, with both of us working, we now have the income to justify a much needed break from cooking.

Rick’s also been great about stepping up, cooking during the week and helping to plan meals during the weekend. He’s even started doing his chores unprompted!

Tuesday: Chicken Marsala with Egg Noodles

Wednesday: Takeout Night

Thursday: Hoisin-Glazed Black Cod with Bok Choy

Friday: Shrimp Creole over Rice
